What happens when a product reaches End of Life (EOL)?
If your Growatt product has reached End of Life (EOL), the following procedures apply.
When a product reaches End of Life (EOL) status, official support from the manufacturer ceases. This introduces the following operational consequences:
- No further software updates: no new updates will be released. Consequently, the device may lose compatibility with new technologies or become vulnerable to security risks.
- No spare parts: in the event of a fault, original spare parts are typically no longer available, making repairs impossible.
- Limited service: technical support and customer service from the manufacturer are minimal or completely discontinued.
What can you do if your Growatt product is EOL?
- Continue using the product: the installation can remain operational as long as it functions correctly. However, take note of the risks outlined above.
- Upgrade to a new model: opt for a current product that receives active support. This ensures access to the latest features, security patches and full service support.
